Perhaps Celtic Woman is finally realizing that Chloe gives the best interviews. :) Two new tour articles about Celtic Woman have now appeared that include quotes from interviews with Chloe.

Here's the first:

http://www.timesdispatch.com/rtd/entert ... 05/273026/

And here are a few of the choice observations from Chloe that it contains. Besides these, the article mentions her background, her famous parents, and her musical beginnings.

Quote:
"To us, America is like our isle of hope. It's the place where people could start a new life, and for the last four years, we've essentially lived here," Agnew said. "America was the first country to embrace Celtic Woman. Irish people are proud of their own, of course, but over here, you've opened your doors to us. It's been fantastic." [...]

When asked if the girls ever met any of the artists whose songs they cover, Agnew, a massive Groban fan, said with a bit of a squeal, "I am Josh's No. 1 fan. If I ever meet him, I may pass out." [...]

"We're typical girly girls. We spend too much money shopping. We go to the cinema and out for food. On a full day off, we might split up for the day, but by 6 p.m., everyone is ringing each other, saying, 'Do you want to grab a bite to eat?'"

I especially love the latter quote, because it's a reminder of one of Chloe's most wonderful qualities of all (and one that never gets enough attention) -- that she shows young women that they don't need to starve, the way the media tells them, but can be more comfortable, beautiful, and healthy eating normally and being curvy.

Here's the other article:

And a few Chloe quotes from it:

Quote:
"The Irish have a song for everything," Agnew said.

"I learned a song for milking the cow when I was growing up, you know? The Irish have always turned to music, in the hardest of times and the happiest of times. [...]

"From day one, we've been true to ourselves and true to our music. We haven't changed ourselves or our music to suit anyone else. We've just done what we love, and that comes across when we perform. People can see that it's genuinely coming from the heart."

Besides these, she also talks about "Oh, America," and how she has seen people cry when they perform it.

Both articles provide even more evidence of just how wonderful and captivating and charismatic Chloe is. Be sure to follow the links and read the whole articles, especially the first, as they present Chloe in a wonderful light.

I also loved this bit in the first article:

Quote:
The group will record a new CD in Ireland next month, take some time off in August, release the new disc and a DVD in September and embark on a short tour at the end of 2009.

In perhaps one of the biggest understatements of the year, Agnew said with an excited laugh, "It's going to be nonstop."

Note the "excited laugh." Let's not forget that Chloe has the energy of...well, of a 20-year-old. She loves what she's doing! It's evident any time she bumps one of her group members. I think that this comment confounds any pessimism about Celtic Woman winding down (and as someone who is given to pessimism myself, I fully understand the inclination). On the contrary, it is blazing ahead at full speed, and Chloe is the tireless engine that is powering the group. :) Her career is just getting started. :D

Celtic Woman better not be winding down! I'm embarassed to admit this but I still haven't been to a CW show! So they have to stick around for at least the next 10 to 20 years :D

No matter what else I may have said before (and I still haven't changed my mind about what I think will happen), one absolute truth is that Chloe's own career is NOT winding down. And yes, it is just beginning. :) :)
