Don and I left Nashville Sunday at 6:50 AM and arrived at The Sheraton Premier near Wolf Trap at 4:00 PM. On Monday went and got Chloe a Birthday card and Mairead a cute get well card. Met Moscapoet, Mr. Peabody, and Scott at the venue and later Dave, Walter and their friend Bobby. Talked to Kim`s father on the phone and later met Kim, Raquel, and Greg at the venue. Got all of them to sign the cards, and along with one from Kim to Chloe, got those cards delivered to these ladies about one and a half hours before the Show.

Mr. Peabody had got Moscapoet, Dave, Don and me the tickets and we were on the third row with pit seats, and mine was center stage. Mr. Peabody thank you for getting us these excellent seats, and as Don so correctly pointed out to people that ask, these were the worst seats we have had in the four Shows we have seen this year. This is sort of a joke we like to tell people when they ask where our seats were for this Show. I loved where we were seated and the stage height put us about level with the stage and we could look directly into these ladies eyes; and when they came to the front of the stage they were so close to us.

I will not dwell too long on anything but the songs, and how they were performed by these ladies.

Alex: when this lady sings “True Colors” this is a song I relate to so much and love to lip synch with Alex as she sings this song; and Alex was now giving direct eye contact with us and I received my fair share of that. I believe I was the only one that stood and applauded Alex when she finished this beautiful song. I had done this in Evansville, Wilkes Barr and Birmingham also. Alex you earned this, and I will continue doing this when you do such a beautiful job singing this song from your heart. When Alex sang “You’ll Be in My Heart” this was also done so very well. Alex you know I loved you from the first time you replaced Lisa while she was gone from the Show on maternity leave, and Alex I still support you, beautiful lady.

Lynn: you always look so beautiful in your beautiful red dress; and as you sing your “Carolina Rue” with such feeling makes that song so beautiful. And when you and Chloe sing the “Last Rose of Summer”, it is so beautiful the way you two do this song together.

Chloe, when you sing “When You Believe” you put your heart and soul into singing this song and emotions well up in us as we take every word of this song into our heart, and it becomes so personal. Each song you sing by yourself gives notice to everyone that knows you that you have become such an established mature singer; and yet there is so much joy in watching and listening to you as you captivate each one of us with your beautiful sweet smile. You are truly someone that fills my heart with love for you. This has always been true, but as you have matured your beauty and captivating personality just draws me to you.

Mairead; the first thing I wish to tell you is that your performance tonight, your playing and your stage movements, was absolutely what you should be doing now for your fans and for you. We all wish you what is best for Mairead at this time, and any time you perform. Your abilities are a gift from God and anything that He permits you to do will always make me happy. As I watch you play, especially” Shenandoah” and “The Last Rose of Summer”, there is so much joy in watching the expressions on your face, and with your mouth and your eyes, as each note played by you has to satisfy what you feel the song is telling us through your interpretation of what we should be hearing. In seeing this we are witnessing a true artist doing what she does best. This is so soul satisfying to me.

Lisa; you know I love seeing you sing, and it does not matter what you are singing. Your “Fields of Gold” tells a beautiful if somewhat sad story we all live to whatever degree as we grow older and “The Blessing” reveals so much love that is given so earnestly and freely. Lisa on this night when you sang “The Voice” I have never heard this song sang so beautifully by you; and there is no one that can come close to your singing of this song at anytime.

There are so many songs in this Show that are sang with some, or all, or any combination of you ladies, and these songs bring forth so much emotion when you sing them so beautifully. When I hear you sing “Have I Told You Lately”, “Isle of Hope, Isle of Tears”, “Danny Boy”, “You Raise Me Up”, “The Call”, and this tribute to America “Oh America” you capture my heart, and your voices are all so beautiful, whether by one or all together. Then you mix in with those beautiful emotional songs, songs like “Sing Out”, “Orinoco Flow”, “Spanish Lady”, “At the Celli”, “The Sky and the Dawn and the Sun”, and Mo Ghile Mear”, and all the other songs you have given us all mixed together, has us laughing and singing one minute and crying the next; and you know we just love it. This is a beautiful Show.

I want to thank each of you for the personal attention you gave me. This was such a beautiful experience, and now you know why it is worth any effort to experience this.

Alex; you have true colors, and you are beautiful.

Lynn; a beautiful voice, and a beautiful lady, and a true Celtic Woman.

Chloe; you are a beautiful shining star, and you know I love you.

Mairead; a smile unmatched anywhere, and a spirit so beautiful; and I love you.

Lisa; you have been in my heart from the beginning, and you know I will always love you. You are still the one.

Lisa, Monday night was three in a row so lets keep this going. Yes, I joined in this time.

What a beautiful night Wolf Trap turned out to be.

Jim
