I'll try to answer the second question first, concerning an upcoming German tour. The answer is... we don't know yet, but it's
much more complicated than that. There was already supposed to be a European tour in the Fall of 2007, but it got cancelled because of lack of sales (which in itself was due to insufficient advertising in Germany). The European Tour for Fall 2008, which is about to begin, is actually a reduced version of what they were going to do. I truly think that their decision to return to Germany or not will be based heavily on how well this Fall '08 tour does in Germany and if their CD sales in Germany increase.
The news about an upcoming US tour is better. The girls will be coming back to America in Spring 2009.
The entire schedule is not available yet and probably won't be until another month or so from now. But certain cities are definitely on the schedule: I have been informed that there will be shows in Florida and Illinois for sure.
I am hoping for more shows in my own area as well. There is no telling yet how many shows they will do on the new tour... they had a brutal schedule in Spring 2007 with 84 dates, and they learned from that by reducing their schedule for the Spring 2008 tour. We will see...
As for meeting the girls, the way to do that is to get "Meet & Greet" passes. And the way to do that is by pledging for tickets and passes through your local PBS TV station, if they are sponsoring a show date. As we get closer to the actual pledge dates I will write a complete post about the M&G pledge process, but I will tell you from my own experience that if you really want to meet them, the M&G is definitely worth it!!!
