I found this story on National Geogrphic of a beutiful Afghan girl with haunting green eyes...
here is the story...
"in 1984 a photographer named steve McCurry visited the Nasir Bagh refuggee camp on the Afghan/Pakistan broder while covering the war between the Soviet Union and Afghanistan. There he took a picture of a young Afghan girl of 12 that had haunting, amazing blue-green eyes. She had been living there in sadness since her parents died. McCurry didn't have a translater so he didn't find out her name. This picture was put on the cover of a National Geographic magazine.
They finally found her and her name is Sharbat Gula, but she wasmuch older now and married...
Steve wouldn't tell where she lived so she may live in peace, he provides money for education for her four children."
